Elizabeth Drayton
Elizabeth is an artist, creating stunning one-off designed and handpainted silk products, which include greetings cards, scarves and handkerchiefs. Her vision is to increase this portfolio over time, building on her already distinctive and imaginative work.
Elizabeth is a vibrant intelligent and positive person with wonderful creative talent. She brings skill, an eye for detail, passion and integrity to her work and has a genuine love of designing and creating beautiful artistic products.
A fifth generation New Zealander, Elizabeth has spent 25 years abroad, mostly in London with three years in Germany and two in the South of France, returning to New Zealand four years ago.
In Germany Elizabeth explored her interest in creating painted silk artwork and within a short period of time secured her first commissions. Her client base grew further in the South of France, where she created a range of bespoke pieces for private clients.
This work drew the attention of the corporate sector, an example being a commission to produce silk pocket-handkerchiefs for the private luxury yacht, The October Rose. The commission was to design and make a corporate gift for the yacht's top 40 agents from around the world.
Alongside selling her original work in nine countries around the world, Elizabeth continues to undertake many commissions for both private and corporate clients.

Elizabeth works closely with her clients to ensure every design and commission is perfect.
Each piece is an elegant and supreme quality original which is made colourfast using a bespoke fixing process. Only top grade silk is used together with the best professional materials. Elizabeth's designs have great personality, are infused with honesty and vibrancy, which are the hallmark of her work.
